Since, alas, Hungary did not get to take part in the European play-offs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, they played two international friendlies against Slovenia and Greece. The first game ended in a 1–0 victory for Hungary after a winner from returning Szabolcs Schön, while the second game ended in a 0–0 tie.
