In a recent interview with GQ magazine, British actor Idris Elba spoke out against the idea of a black actor playing the iconic spy character of James Bond, saying that Bond ‘was written how he was written for a reason’. Elba himself is black and has been rumoured to be next to play 007, which he has denied.
