Hungarian Parliament Changes Constitution to Oust Orbán-Era President Sulyok
Hungary’s Parliament approved the 17th amendment to the Fundamental Law on Monday, using a tailor-made constitutional clause to remove President Tamás Sulyok from office. The package also imposes retrospective MP term limits, gives constitutional status to an anti-corruption super-agency, and reshapes the Constitutional Court, judiciary, and budgetary checks.
