Both the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and President Trump have announced that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The deal is set to be ceremonially signed on 19 June in Geneva, Switzerland, after which the Strait of Hormuz is set to reopen for commercial shipping.
