Former senior Polish government figures Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski reportedly fled Hungary to the United States shortly after the inauguration of Hungary’s new prime minister, Péter Magyar. The two PiS politicians had previously received political asylum from Viktor Orbán’s government, which argued that they could not expect fair trials under Donald Tusk’s administration.
