‘Petschauer was born in Budapest in 1904 and was a talented fencer. He was working towards his law degree when he became a member of the Hungarian Olympic team in 1928 and won a gold medal in team sabre, and then another gold medal in 1932 in Los Angeles, also in team sabre.’
