With gas prices coming down after the Iran deal, Republicans are gaining ground on Democrats in polling for the 2026 midterms. While in late May, the Democrats were leading by 8.1 points in the national generic Congressional ballot polling aggregate, their lead is now down to 4.8 points over the strengthening GOP.
