ETO FC Győr striker Nadhir Benbouali became the first player from the Hungarian league to score in a FIFA World Cup game since 1986. Benbouali came on as a substitute for Algeria and headed his team’s equalizer after a corner against Jordan. Algeria ended up winning the game 2–1.
