Paula Solanas de Miguel, a 27-year-old Red Cross volunteer who taught children and teenagers to identify gender violence, was stabbed to death by her Moroccan boyfriend as she prepared to leave him. Her killing became Spain’s 33rd fatal case of partner violence this year and has revived scrutiny of the disproportionately large share involving foreign nationals.
