Mia Bailey, a biological man identifying as a woman, killed his parents in their home in Washington City, Utah in June 2024 for interfering with his gender transition surgery.
However, the interrogation footage of the case has just been released to the public, which has garnered a lot of attention online for the inflammatory statements made by the trans patricidal and matricidal killer, Baily.
The video starts with the perpetrator, who was 28 years old at the time, claiming that he knew he wanted to transition into a woman by the age of two (!), but his parents were only made aware of his intentions in 2019, five years before the killings. Then, he complained that his mother was ‘shocked’ instead of being supportive.
According to Mia Bailey, his medical insurance policy was set to pay about half the price of his gender reassignment surgery, which was scheduled ot take place the next month in July 2024. He expected his parents to help him come up with the other half of the sum. However, his mother instead contacted the hospital to cancel the surgery.
This angered Bailey so much that on 18 June 2024, he shot both of his parents, Gail and Joseph Bailey, in the head in their home in Washington City. He also took a shot at his brother, but thankfully missed.
‘I went to my parents to do the deed. Kill them…It was spur-of-the-moment. I don’t regret it. I hate them. That was the last straw,’ Bailey made the cold-hearted admission during his interrogation. ‘She can’t say sorry to save her life,’ he even remarked about his late mother.
In November 2025, Bailey decided to plead guilty to two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated assault for his crimes against his late parents and surviving brother.
The next month, in December 2025, he was given two consecutive 25-year prison sentences by the judge. He is currently serving his sentence at the Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison, Utah, where he is housed in accordance with his biological sex, among male inmates.
