Rockstar Games has officially revealed the cover art for Grand Theft Auto VI and confirmed that pre-orders for the highly anticipated title will begin on 25 June.

The announcement came via a brief 30-second teaser video released on Rockstar’s official channels. While the video does not contain a new trailer, it marks a significant milestone in the game’s marketing campaign ahead of its launch.

The start of pre-orders is expected to provide fans with their first official look at the game’s pricing, a topic that has sparked widespread debate across the gaming industry. Speculation has ranged from the standard $70 launch price to estimates of $80 or even $100, reflecting the enormous development costs associated with what is expected to be one of the largest entertainment releases in history.

Earlier this year, Strauss Zelnick, chief executive of Take-Two Interactive, suggested that the company intends to ensure players view the game’s price as fair relative to the value it delivers. He argued that the focus remains on creating an exceptional entertainment experience rather than maximizing the upfront purchase price.

The newly released cover art prominently features GTA 6‘s two protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval.

Surrounding the pair are several elements that highlight the game’s core themes and activities. The artwork includes a stunt-performing motorcyclist, a police cruiser, a helicopter equipped with a mounted weapon, a sports car and a speedboat, underscoring the action-oriented gameplay and diverse vehicle selection players can expect.

The image also showcases previously revealed supporting character Boobie Ike, a Vice City businessman and nightclub owner. Another notable figure appears to be Raul Bautista, a veteran bank robber who is expected to play a role in the protagonists’ story.

Beyond the urban setting, the artwork hints at the broader open world that players will explore. Flamingos, wetlands and a large alligator appear in the lower section of the image, reinforcing Rockstar’s emphasis on the diverse environments inspired by Florida and the fictional state of Leonida.

The cover art appears designed to communicate the game’s central pillars: crime, high-speed action, exploration, and a living world filled with both urban and natural environments.

Rockstar has not yet announced when the next full trailer will arrive, though some fans are speculating that additional news could accompany the opening of pre-orders on 25 June. The game is set to release on 19 November.
