Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced that CPAC will expand to the United Kingdom, with the first CPAC Great Britain set for July 2026 in London. The move signals the growing influence of transatlantic conservative networks and reflects efforts to replicate the political momentum seen in the United States under Donald Trump.

Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced that CPAC is coming to London, with the first CPAC Great Britain set to be held in the United Kingdom in July 2026.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Grapevine, Texas, Truss said the British edition will take place between 16 and 18 July, with tickets expected to go on sale in the coming days.

The announcement highlights the continued expansion of CPAC in Europe. The high-profile conservative conference was held in Budapest, Hungary, on 21 March, featuring speakers from across the globe, including Argentinian President Javier Milei, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) co-chair Alice Weidel, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. US President Donald Trump addressed the conference via video message.

In her speech, Truss argued that the United Kingdom requires a political transformation similar to what is currently taking place in the United States under Trump. She said that much of the British public does not support the current direction of the government.

‘They want to have a family, they want a nice car, they want to go on a nice holiday, they want to live in a Christian country,’ Truss said, adding that people ‘don’t want their country taken over’.

The former prime minister, who briefly led the UK government in 2022, has increasingly aligned herself with US conservative circles and has been a recurring speaker at CPAC events in recent years.

Further confirmation of the upcoming London conference came from British journalist Joseph Robertson, who stated in a post on X that he will serve as a director of the event alongside what he described as a ‘brilliant team’.

‘Britain’s broken,’ Robertson wrote, adding that ‘the establishment surrendered our streets, sovereignty, & future. Time to rebuild.’

Details regarding the exact venue and speaker lineup for CPAC Great Britain have not yet been announced.
